Cirrus Aircraft has unveiled the 2026 SR Series G7+, the latest evolution of its widely popular single-engine piston aircraft lineup, including the Cirrus SR20, Cirrus SR22, and Cirrus SR22T. The new generation focuses on elevating safety, pilot awareness, connectivity, and overall ownership experience, reinforcing Cirrus’ leadership in the personal aviation segment.
A standout feature of the G7+ is the integration of advanced safety technologies, most notably the Safe Return emergency autoland system. This system enables the aircraft to autonomously navigate to a suitable airport and land safely if the pilot becomes incapacitated—significantly enhancing safety for both pilots and passengers. Complementing this is the renowned Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), a hallmark feature of Cirrus aircraft that continues to set industry benchmarks in safety.
The aircraft also introduces several innovations aimed at improving situational awareness and operational efficiency. Features such as Runway Occupancy Awareness, Smart Pitot Heat, and automatic database updates help reduce pilot workload and enhance safety during critical phases of flight. The upgraded Perspective Touch+ avionics system offers improved visual approach guidance, deeper autopilot integration, and customizable display presets tailored to individual pilot preferences and mission profiles.
Connectivity is significantly enhanced through the Cirrus Global Connect ecosystem, providing real-time weather updates including turbulence, icing, and storm activity throughout the flight. Integrated satellite communication ensures continuous connectivity for both personal and business missions, while high-power USB-C charging ports throughout the cabin support modern electronic devices.
On the design front, the 2026 SR Series G7+ introduces refreshed exterior styling options and new paint schemes, along with interior upgrades focused on ergonomics, material quality, and passenger comfort. The Cirrus SR22 now comes standard with a three-blade composite propeller, with an optional four-blade configuration to enhance performance and ramp appeal.
With over 11,000 SR Series aircraft delivered globally, Cirrus continues to push the boundaries of personal aviation by combining automation, luxury, and cutting-edge avionics. The G7+ represents a significant step forward in making personal flying safer, more connected, and more accessible to a broader audience of pilots and aircraft owners.
