CAE to Deliver Advanced Full-Flight Simulator to Train First Generation of Eve eVTOL Pilots

CAE Inc. has announced at the Singapore Airshow 2026 that Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a joint venture between Embraer and CAE, has acquired its first full-flight simulator (FFS) dedicated to training pilots for Eve Air Mobility.

This state-of-the-art simulator will be the first device delivered to ECTS following its selection in 2024 as Eve’s official training provider. It will play a critical role in both pilot training and the certification process for Eve’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, supporting safe and efficient entry into commercial service.

The new CAE 3000 series full-flight simulator incorporates advanced technologies, including high-fidelity motion cueing, a precision flight deck replica, and the next-generation CAE Prodigy™ Visual System powered by Unreal Engine. These features create an ultra-realistic training environment designed specifically for single-pilot eVTOL operations in complex urban airspace.

As advanced air mobility moves closer to commercial deployment, high-quality simulation is becoming essential to ensure pilot readiness. Alexandre Prévost, President of Civil Aviation at CAE, emphasized that the simulator will help train the first wave of eVTOL pilots while establishing a scalable and certifiable training ecosystem. He noted that the platform sets a new benchmark for training infrastructure in the emerging urban air mobility sector.

From Eve Air Mobility’s perspective, the investment represents a key step in building a robust operational foundation. Luiz Mauad, Vice President of Customer Services, highlighted that the simulator will strengthen pilot preparedness while ensuring safety remains central as the company progresses toward entry into service.

The simulator will be integrated into the global ECTS training network, combining Embraer’s operational expertise with CAE’s extensive global training footprint. In addition to pilot training, the infrastructure will support maintenance personnel and ground handling teams as part of Eve’s broader EveTechCare aftermarket services ecosystem.
