Elbit Systems of America has received a delivery order worth approximately $74.4 million from Marine Corps Systems Command to continue supplying Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggle (SBNVG) systems to the United States Marine Corps through 2027. The systems will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Roanoke, Virginia.

This latest order is part of a broader multi-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract valued at approximately $500 million, which Elbit America secured in 2023. The ongoing deliveries highlight the strong demand for advanced night vision technologies that enhance operational effectiveness in low-light and nighttime conditions.

The SBNVG system is a lightweight, helmet-mounted solution that integrates binocular vision with advanced white phosphor Gen 3 image intensification technology. This enables Marines to achieve superior clarity, depth perception, and situational awareness during operations. In addition, the system incorporates thermal imaging capabilities and a projected compass heading display, allowing users to navigate and identify targets more effectively in complex environments.

Erik Fox, Senior Vice President of Elbit America’s Warfighter Systems Division, emphasized that the SBNVG significantly enhances the decision-making capabilities of Marines by providing high-resolution imagery and critical real-time data overlays. He noted that the system exceeds industry standards in performance and reliability, ensuring mission readiness across diverse operational scenarios.

Luke Savoie, President and CEO of Elbit America, highlighted that this fourth delivery order reflects the continued confidence of the U.S. Marine Corps in the company’s technology. He stated that the system provides a decisive operational advantage, enabling forces to operate more effectively in challenging conditions.

With over 60 years of experience in night vision technology, Elbit America remains a global leader in Gen 3 image intensifier systems. The company has delivered more than 25,000 SBNVG units to the U.S. Marine Corps to date, demonstrating its critical role in supporting modern military operations.

As night operations become increasingly central to modern warfare, advanced systems like the SBNVG play a vital role in ensuring mission success. By combining cutting-edge optics, thermal imaging, and digital overlays, Elbit America continues to enhance the capabilities of frontline forces, reinforcing its position as a key provider of next-generation vision systems.
